sorry i know you have alot on your plate already! but an idea on something would be to take the balancers and turn them into a semi configurable sorter or give us the ability to increase the single sorter throughput

Do you mean for belts or pipes. Since i already have this from gameplay with pipes "mixed pipe" and pipe sorter to handle mixed pipes.
if you mean belts, i have on list as plans to make bigger and better sorters for flat/loose items. 😊👍
