Still not working for me. Very odd.

Tested again, This time, deleted all mod folders and reinstalled Cheat++ and only Cheat++ New game and filled again. Since code works on your PC, Must be something on my pc you don't have that is interfering. Guess I will just have to live with it.

Fill is in progress. Paused it mid fill as rock showed up. I also have both DLCs offered by COI. my game provider is Steam. Don't know if that may be part of the issue. I did run the verify game files and the windows SFC command to verify the OS is ok. All came back as no errors or corruptions.

I have both DLC too. Might be the version uploaded is something wrong with. Let me reupload it as new version give me 2min.

Guess what. Mr Crash it good (me) triggered the issue again. 🤕 Attached is my save file before fill. Uses map Miami Isle. So far, the new 1.0.8 version is a big improvement over the old but that bug still exists in the code somewhere.

Not sure if it is the sloped area or the collapsing shore line triggering it.

This may not be an easy fix.

My purpose is to expand areas for farms before I really start the game and bring the level down for better dock placement as well.

Option 2. Add a button/program to change (not fill) the surface tiles to user selected material. Not sure if a player can place a farm with only the top layer of dirt over rock. Maybe set the change to change down to 2 levels deep.

This is not the best designed map due to the shore line will collapse as soon as material is dumped or placed. And the water is deep. But it is a good map to test those mods due to the map issues.

Hmm. I will test your save now.

No crash for me. but i see the problem were it never completes the filling and removes shoreline. Will fix it.

I may have been hasty in using the wrong words (crash) to describe my innate talent to find the bugs in software. Game did not crash. I just managed to do something unexpected and found bugs in your mod. :) Hope it is an easy fix.

Its a bit complicated but i have a working version to fix this but needs polishing. I will let you know when i am done and uploaded new version. I am using your save as benchmark.

Yeeeeees! Took many hours and now i can finaly go to bed! 🤣
So this now works on your save its finally fixed. Filling this much i would not recommend going over 3x speed Not even sandbox vanilla works well over 3x on large fillings. Keep in mind edges out in water will take long time to fill completely since ocean is very deep so takes time until landslide stops and finally fill edges. But this is how vanilla does it to so not much i can do for this. But now it works!

I am very tired now so will hit bed and upload this new version after work tomorrow. I will write to you when new version is up. 😊

I hate to ask this but....

Ahhh, Did you compile the correct files? Mine still brings up rock.

All set to level 5. no complex leveling. Only a small area set to fill.

I notice after testing now on different maps it sometimes fails. I have to look in more to this on weekend. I will get back to you when i have it fixed and tested on all maps.

Thanks.

I did notice one way around the issue after much messing and testing. That if I fill the shore line on this particular map just past the shore line by about 2 blocks and fill with (I used rock) a mineral. wait for it to complete and stop collapsing. Then I could fill successfully with dirt out to as far as the map would let me go with no rock mixing. Maybe it is the collapsing of the map devs shore line that should have collapsed anyway on its own... might be the trigger of the bug. Possible it is just THAT MAP and the way the map was created or maybe the speed of the collapse in relation to the speed your mod fills.

First fill... Only a few tiles and fill with rock along the shore.

image.png

Once filling with rock is complete, I then extend the fill area but not past the end of the filled rock and then fill with dirt. Success. This bypasses the bug. So. this indicates (I believe) the bug is in relation to the map shore line set to collapse (land slide) as soon as I place anything there. Maybe the map has some sort of mineral not placeable your mod is running into. I did try to fill just 2 blocks to trigger a collapse of the shore line, waited for it to complete and then filled a larger area flat and got rock mixed. That is why I think it might be the unexpected layer of bedrock (not actually rock) your fill routine is having trouble with. But I am just guessing. image.png

Again, Thanks for all your efforts and time on this. Really enjoy your mods.

Disclaimer: I do have a bit of OCD and ADD so, forgive me if I pester to much.

Note: I am still testing using the Miami Isles map.
