So this has happened to me twice now. First time figured it was just a fluke, but after logging into the game today again there is only the music sounds working. If i turn off the music, every other sound woks great, even 1% music on, and all other sounds but the music disappear.

I know im on experimental branch so bugs will happen, the first time was no problem. Played for a few minutes, saved a new save and everything was back to normal. Today i tried the same thing and no go, just music unless it was set to 0% volume. I have not seen anything posted about this so far so i thought id post something in the off chance its not just me. I have both saves with no sound still if needed. can even take some video and post it to youtube if that'll help.

Can you share the save? we didn't receive similar reports so it could be something specific to that save.

So i just checked both saves and the sound on both not working with music on. More than happy to provide details about my PC if needed, just let me know if there is a log file you want or just want me to list what i have

I have had then same issue. When the save loads it goes into pause as normal. However no sounds made if you place or delete things while it does this. Unpause and then it all works fine. It seems to be since the last update 8.4b

Is this limited to the just-loaded paused game state (like Veldthui said) or does it happen after a while? i loaded the save with the current experimental and i can't repro the issue.

Can you also share your in-game audio settings?

oddly enough today i logged in and no sound while paused but the sound came back once unpaused. im 75% sure when the sound went away the first and second time it did not matter if it was paused or not, but since the comment from veldthui and your question i had to check and make sure. im including the sound setting anyways just in case. If it happens again I will take a video and post it here. the more i think about it the less sure i am about the sound being gone on either save while unpaused, was 90% when i started this comment, and now down to 75%

Edit: first time it happened i believe it was im the middle of a game, but again unsure and im doubting myself now. If it ever happens again i'll do my best to note exactly what was going on and keep as much evidence as i can
