💨 Less Wasteful Air Separator
Description
💨 Less Wasteful Air Separator
The only Air Separator allowed by environmentalists
- Produces O2 and/or N2 as long as there is any consumption of either or both gases.
- Stops production to save energy if both gases back up.
Usage
- Take O2 and/or N2 from the balancers on the sides. Do not take from the tanks.
Design
- Loops both gases around through individual overflow vents, then blending them strictly 1:1, and then subsequently with the air separator's output (with priority).
- If both gases back up the strict 1:1 mixture will block the air separator's output, thus stopping it until consumption is restored.
- If consumption is uneven, the surplus gas will vent its overflow.
*Engineers are still trying to explain how re-blending the separated air can help conserve energy (or, since tanks can separate N2 and O2, why anyone would need an air separator in the first place).
