🔬 Kayser’s Lab Equipment 👩‍🔬🧑‍🔬

🥒 Because Well-Equipped Scientists Have More Fun

Current as of: v0.7.9 (b495)

📝 Description

Kayser’s Lab Equipment is a compact, rectangular, and scalable Liftbus™ design that delivers everything your scientists could dream of — from early tinkering to late-game breakthroughs. It produces Lab Equipment I–IV with perfect balance and full control over each tier.

Starting early with 36×LE1 feeding 1-6 Research Lab I:s, it gracefully scales all the way up to 144×LE4 (feeding 3 Labs IV) — all within the same footprint. Thanks to the Liftbus™ design, materials flow efficiently, recycles automatically, and varying demand is handled without wasting capacity.

Players can set minimum and maximum stock levels for each Lab Equipment tier, giving precise control during upgrades or mixed-tier research. Need multiple lab levels running side by side? No problem — Kayser’s Lab Equipment takes care of it.

The plant also smoothly recycles lab equipment and electronics from loot, demolitions, and upgrades, ensuring nothing goes to waste. It even supplies extra Electronics I–III for convenient upgrades.

In short: compact, flexible, and intelligent — the ultimate lab backbone for a settlement that values both science and style.

⚙️ Feature Summary
  • Dual injection Liftbus™
  • 24 fully independent assemblers
  • 144 Lab Equipment on final tier
  • Automatic supply/demand balancing
  • Fully customizable minimum/maximum stock levels
  • Smooth recycling of imported materials
  • Graceful, non-interruptive upgrades and and expansions
  • Extra Electronics I-III for convenience
⚡ Quick Start Guide

Place the blueprint that fits your tier. Attach inbound transports. Construct one or more assemblers. The plant should start producing Electronics I and PCBs (Stage 3--) followed by Lab Equipment I, Electronics II, and so on, until all products reach minimum stock level. It then continues to make the highest tier product until all products reach maximum stock level.

Set alerts as you desire (no alerts are preset).

Belt (or truck) lab equipment to your labs.

📐 Blueprints

All blueprints can be used standalone, or as an upgrade to any prior stage.

All upgrades should be graceful, i.e. no shift-click should be required (unless the build was modified).

To make excess Electronics I, II, or III, add or upgrade assemblers beyond the ones included in the blueprint.

Stage Blueprint Name Description Technology Required Preparation & Instructions Other Notes
1 LE1×36-Proto-Liftbus™-4×AS2 Cheap(ish) starter plant. Research Lab I, Smart Conveyor Routing, Conveyor Lifts Clear & flatten land. The Proto-Liftbus™ is a cheap precursor to the actual Liftbus. Supplies 6 Lab I.
2 LE1×54-Liftbus™-6×AS2 1.5x capacity upgrade and adding the actual Liftbus™. - If upgrading from stage 1, use the Proto-Liftbus™ Deconstruction Template in Deconstruction Mode to remove the Proto-Liftbus Supplies 9 Lab I.
3 LE2×72-Liftbus™-10×AS3 3.3x capacity upgrade with Assembly III for Lab Equipment II. Research Lab II, Conveyor Belts II Plug & Play. Supplies 6 Lab II.
4 LE3×72-Liftbus™-20×AS3 2x capacity upgrade for Lab Equipment III. Research Lab III Plug & Play. Supplies 3 Lab III.
5 LE4×86-Liftbus™-24×AS4 2.4x capacity upgrade with Assembly IV for Lab Equipment IV. Research Lab IV, Conveyor Belts III (-> Robotic Assembly II) Plug & Play. To supply 3 Lab IV, research Robotic Assembly II and upgrade 16 assemblers to Assembly V (to make 144 LE4).

Final size (stage 5) is 35×45 tiles. Stage 1-4 have markers to show the final size.

All storages are preset to work with truck transportation, but belt feeding (with alerts) is highly recommended.

As common in Liftbus™ designs, assemblers are independent from each other and can be built, demolished, paused, and upgraded individually. Stage 1 can be started with just 1 assembler (9xLE1 per minute, serving 1.5 labs), for example.

The Liftbus™ loop that feeds the assemblers should always be closed.

If experimenting with BP of next tier, note that auto-downgraded assemblers lose some recipes.

🔄 Input/Output

Typical Input/Output rates as per below. As with any Liftbus™ design, production of an individual product may be higher or lower, depending on its demand (including demand from the plant itself).

Unless removed, intermediate products/ingredients are consumed and the only output will be the highest tier lab equipment.

Additional assemblys can be built to make surplus electronics.

Other Notes

If upgrading from Assembler III to Assembler IV manually, Lab Equipment IV and Electronics III recipes must be added manually to all assemblers. Note that just some assemblers need to be upgraded to start producing Electronics III and Lab Equipment IV.
