Starting locations
1. Easy
The recommended start. A large, flat central plateau with easy access to all core resources, and a long stretch of coast. +Easy Gale+
2. Medium
A cramped peninsula with all core resources at hand. Expansion is easy, but space is at premium. +Medium Iris+
3. Medium
Isolated, flat valley with all core resources at moderate quantities. +Medium Vent+
4. Hard
This start is intentionally annoying. Scarce resources mixed with sand, cramped coast, hard expansion. +Hard Dune+
5. Insane
Don't pick this one. A cramped island with everything present but everything thin. You'll be rationing before you even think about expansion. +Insane Glen+
Description
Long, narrow, and ridge-torn — welcome Dragontail Peaks.
The largest possible map size, cut into a dozen flat plateaus by mountain peaks and water that divide the land into distinct zones, each with its own character and challenges.
This is a map built for trains, logistics, and long-term ambition. One wing hides quartz, bauxite, and gold behind mountain climbs; the crater on the other wing holds iron, uranium, and coal in quantities that will outlast any industrial empire.
Five starting locations span the full difficulty range, each with its own flavor — from a comfortable central plateau to a cramped island.
