Starting locations
1. Easy
A casual-friendly start position - good for newer players or players looking for a fairly casual experience. You can access every resource from the start, except gold.
2. Hard
A challenging starting location. Despite starting on the large main island, your access to the island is very limited. You need to get access to it on your own. Coal is not initially accessible, you may need to use Coal Makers before you get to the northern or southern deposits.
3. Hard
A challenging starting location. Not a lot of space to build. You have to make your way to the elevated coal and oil deposits in order to use them.
Description
A fairly large map with 3 islands (and a 4th tiny one!) featuring stony beaches, mountains, and a lot of resources. However, the resources are all split accross the 3 islands. Gold is not available on the large island, only on the 2 medium ones.
The largest island features a starting location in the south and north of the island. The southern (#1) location is suited for casual gameplay, while the northern location (#2) is a harder, and more challenging starting zone, you'll have to mine your way out to reach the rest of the island to access all the resources. To access coal - either get to the main part of the large island, or dump your way to the tiny coal deposit in the north. The third starting location (#3) is placed on the western island. A ramp is required to get up to coal.
The map looks a bit like a medieval helmet, doesn't it?
