Description

FBR Power Station

Author: Calen
Built for Update 3
vU3.1.1

Description

The FBR Power Station provides your island with 240 MW of power. This facility consists of two blueprints - the Core Fuel Factory, a temporary structrure that makes Core Fuel, but also Blanket Fuel for the FBR; and the FBR Power Station itself.

Please see https://imgur.com/a/fbr-power-station-K2D7sYD for the installation guide and images.

Change Log

vU3.1.1 - Removed Crusher from blueprint, but kept the old blueprint as well for player's choice.
- Upgraded Toxic Slurry pipe to tier II from where the two pipes join to the storage.
- Updated the Core Fuel Factory but kept the original with ore processing.

i love you =)
Finally, thank you. :)

thanks, this one works perfectly fine!
Very nice, seems to work fine. I am also using your nuclear power station blueprint, and used that to start the FBR instead of your temporary core fuel factory since I needed the power. I had to move the arc furnace one tile away from the repro plant, add to it the spent MOX to blanket fuel recipe, move the spent fuel input to the other port, add a Spent MOX belt from storage to the remaining port, and raise the uranium/MOX belt to be able to break out the blanket fuel pipe. I also redirected the plutonium to make core fuel using the salt, works! Just remember to unplug the core fuel line to the FBR so it doesn't jam. Maybe you could move things around in that blueprint to make this kind of usage easier? Mine is a bit spaghetti :)
Update: it worked fine for a couple hundred years, but all of a sudden it wasn't generating enough core fuel, blanket fuel dropped to 0, I had to generate some more from my Spent MOX. I didn't start that reactor at L4, I ramped up from L1 as I was getting materials to build the generators. Building a new one atm which I will start at L4, it's full of core fuel (160) and blanket (320), we'll see how it goes. Investigating.
Calen are you planning on updating your larger FBR station?

I'm still investigating, but the output to the slurry fills up since the Settling Tanks are outputting 2x36, should be a Pipe II. This impacts Blanket production. EDIT: This seems to have been the culprit, and upgrading the pipe to the slurry tank to Pipe II seems to have stabilized it
@lifetap - Yes! Publishing shortly!
@Andargor - Fixed. Thanks!
what am i missing the reactor keeps running out of fuel after i stop input from the fuel factory
