Because you don't need that much power, and the turbine's economy mode isn't enabled — but that mode is dangerous for a nuclear plant. No one designs nuclear power plants for power maneuvering — so sometimes they’re just heating the air
its not entirely wrong but also not correct.
in this bp there's no priority for the rows of turbines no wheels and so you run all flat out to avoid overheat.
but you can do power on demand if you have each row staged (balancer prio out) + wheels attached and in a different power priority so the shut down each on their own. (reactor on auto mode)
@CoItastrophy There’s clearly no space for flywheels here. I tried variable operation mode for the nuclear plant’s turbines — it always ended in a failure; the regulation isn’t sufficient.
I quite like this one and prefer it over over the more "efficient" with Nuclear 2. Tiles very nicely. There is just one update I did - if you include balancers on Uranium lines shifting everything left before the line goes to production, you don't have to manually adjust belts on tiling 3rd and more. Actually thinking about it I did not have to do it "factorio way" One balancer would be just enough for 4 lines in, 4 out
