Mining

Author: Calen
Built for Update 3
vU3.1.1

Description

These blueprints are designed to handle your ore sorting and storage needs throughout the game. I already have dirt and rock predefined in each blueprint, but feel free to change it up.

Blueprints

  • Mine I Storage - Earliest blueprint with tier-I storage and belts. When you add a product, also add it to both available ports to get up to 120/60 throughput.
  • Mine I Kit - Mine I Storage with mining tower and tier-I fuel station.
  • Mine II Upgrade - Delete the current storage and transport and lay this down overtop to upgrade a mining station to tier II.
  • Mine II Storage - Two sorting plants, tier-II storage & belts.
  • Mine II - 4th Product Storage - If you ever have need to add a 4th tier-II product output, here is the storage for it.
  • Mine II Kit - Mine II Storage with mining tower and Tier-II fuel station.
  • Mine II Station - Train station for Mine II.
  • Mine II.V Kit - The name is a bit tongue-in-cheek, but it has Mine II storage with a large sorting plant.
  • Mine II.V with Station - Combines the Mine II.V Kit with the Mine II Station.
  • Mining Depot - Train station for mining products & byproducts. Place this near your settlement. From there you can run belts or use trucks to distribute products.
  • Waste Sorting Track - I use this if I'm digging up a dump location.
  • Mine III - Base - One large sorting plant and tier-III storage & belts. I use this if I'm just landscaping.
  • Mine III - 3rd Product Storage - Add this to Mine III - Base to have a 3rd product output. It uses 4 ports on the sorting plant.
  • Mine III - Standard - What the result of the previous two are.
  • Mine III - 4th Product Storage - Add this to Mine III - Standard to have a 4th product output. It uses the final 2 ports on the sorting plant.
  • Mine III Kit - Mine III - Standard with mining tower & tier-III fuel station.
  • Mine III Station - Train station for Mine III.
  • Mine III with Station - Mine III Kit with Mine III station.
  • Remainder - Prefab ore-specific Mine III with Station blueprints and relevant crushers.

Change Log v2.0.1 - Minor corrections made to sorting plant setup. v2.0 - Removed several staged blueprints in favor of a module design for Mine III. v1.0 - Initial Build

Do you intend to make a version of this using the Large Ore Sorters?

@Mat1k - Here it is.

When I try to import the dialog box pops up the following text:

"F45860:H4sIAAAAAAAACuy9DVx..." (45867 chars) Failed to import the given string.

I tested by importing version 3 successfully. Hope this helps.

@Jonkin and @Hed - This is caused by the fact that I am on the experimental branch (0.7.8) whose changes appear to break backward compatibility. I switched back to the main branch (0.7.7) but couldn't load any previous games - the graphics were out of whack. I tried starting a new game on 0.7.7 but my blueprints folder was empty, which was horrifying! I will refrain from updating any other blueprints until after 0.7.8 goes live on the main branch. My apologies.

Hed

@Calen thx for the comment! Your blueprints are amazing thank you! :)

This is perfect. Now to get a railway setup to make full use of it. Damn roundabouts and multi-track intersections annoy me.

Hey love the blue prints, can I just question why u chose to have the main hub only able to accept 4 cars of goods when the mines can put out up to 8.

The ore sorting plant for copper is set to receive iron

Will there be an update for a new depot with all the mines and quarry unloading spots.Thank you

Love your blue prints Dude. by chance are you still playing? If so any chance you could add an update to the bp's that use trains for network mode over line? would be awsume... :)

Also now new electric trains track do not fit under belts and pipes.
