The Oil Refinery is my oldest complex. It's where I cut my teeth on modular building and transport design. I have been building this in a standardized way before even blueprints were added to the game!

Note: Included with these blueprints is a guide made of retaining walls. Don't actually build the guide, just use it to right-size your selected spot for the refinery. Note: Transport blueprints have yet to be updated.

Note: While the images show the full build of each module, I recommend that you start by only building the transport and storage for each module. Then you can build the buildings as needed. For example, at the beginning you will only need 2 distillation channels and one boiler. You can add distillation channels as needed, but you won't need the rest of the boilers until you install the water desalinization module.

Some stages have been totally reworked.
The whole blueprint has been horizontally flipped because I always found myself building this to the right of my settlement and not being able to build the first stage until I had the whole coastline cleared, flattened, and straightened. Now I can start much earlier.
v5.2.0 - Updated cargo depot & generator diesel egress to bypass the balancer and come straight out of the Diesel storage (Credit: Bob Fegaipeor). This is so that no power is needed to get available diesel to the generators in the event of an emergency. This hasn't been thoroughly game tested though, so if this causes other unintended side effects, especially while still using the tier II storage, let me know.
v5.1.0 - Updated transport to work with other production centers as part of a wholistic Transport System.
v5.0.3 - Added import priority for scrubber sulfur to sulfur balancer.
Added 4th polymerization plant to Plastics Module.
Added Claw Depot and other peripheral blueprints.
v5.0.2 - Updated pipe connecting stage 3 to cargo depot pipe.

Love the Blueprint! Any chance you add a straight section with a Large Vehicle Ramp crossing the Pipes/Belts?

Fantastic thank you! The steam connection between stage 1 and stage 2 is missing but easy to add. Or maybe i just placed it wrong but anyway, the blueprint is awesome. Thank you!

is somewhere the complete last stage blueprint?
Loving the layout. Would it be better to have the CO2 be converted to Graphite as a priority instead of consuming Coal/Chlorine? There's no real other use for CO2 except for Graphite

Like all your other blueprints it is fantastic work - thank you. I may be doing something wrong, but I'm having to dump excess water.
Great design, however I needed to build a smoke stack before the scrubber because if you stock up on sulfur your plastic production stops

First of all, i want to gratulate for your work. Your blueprints are absolutely amazing! I'm using all of them. I have no idea how you had the patience for these extremely complex blueprints, guides, descriptions, etc. Awesome, and incredible! Thank you so much for your work!!! I found 3 bugs in the oil refinery blueprints. The first one is at stage 3. The generators have too long pipe connections to the left, had to correct manually. the second one is at stage 10. The pipes do not connect to the smoke stack. If u place it 1 to the right, it will be correct regardless of removing the smoke stack. (I built the whole refinery in one stage.) The last bug is at stage 12. The pipe can't connect to the sour water tank, i had to make it manually. Once again, thank all of your work, i hope we can count on you at update 3 too! :)

@Stabil - Thanks! It's a lot of fun for me to build these. I'm not happy with the large generator blueprint because there are a lot of placement options that work at first but only one that works correctly with later stage blueprints. I think when I do my overhauls/redesigns for Update 3 I will fix that either by moving it or including barriers that prevent incorrect placement.
How much Diesel does it make?

@hiddengalaxy - In the description I have a table that explains diesel output for each stage. It can vary depending on what buildings are running and which are idle, but let's say everything is running at 100% - then the refinery would produce 252 diesel/min. But if the large diesel generators aren't running, you can get 324 per min.
I really like your blueprints, but I feel like there is one thing missing in the transport BP. A T-Junction. Would you be able to make one I tried it, looks confusing and my head hurts making one myself.
@Calen - Posting on each BP if I run into something. on the oil refinery, the exhaust scrubber backs up on sulfur and freezes up everything. I just added a splitter with lower priority next to the exhaust tower and put a burner to allow sulfer burn if the storage is backed up. I initially put the burner off the storage, but it wasn't as effective as the normal sulfur for the rubber plants was putting out more than the exhaust scrubber and it essentially stayed backed up. I also added my own little fresh water relief up near the storage tank as the salt production wasn't getting enough water flow for brine. This might have to do with the rate I am using the refinery right now. I am at super low throughput with just one rubber maker. Thanks for your efforts!
@Calen: On the balencer, near the cooling tower, the priorty for water is on the wrong input.
It looks to me like the Oil Refinery Transport is fliped wrong way around, like it wasn't updated for update 3 since you say you horizontally flipped it all. The (Flipped) version only flips the order of the pipes and belts, the connections are wrong in the same way.
Indeed, The transport Blueprint need to be fixed, but it's pretty EZ to do it ourself
After looking at your blueprint, I feel that this game seems to be designed specifically for your blueprint; the combination of buildings occupying different areas is so perfect.
And I'm wondering that no transport fit's, indeed need a fix.
Very nice Blueprint, but are the diesel generators actually intended to be used? The system seems to come at a standstill when diesel is filled up to the max, yet if I turn the generators on, they will keep consuming until there's nothing left. Should I just add flares to the diesel storage and burn away excess?
I think that the refinery footprint blueprint is flipped.

transport also doesnt connect to the diesel balancer. seems like its made for a version without the balancer
