Description

Manufacturing Hub

Author: Calen
Built for Update 3
vU3.1.1

The Manufacturing Hub is my centralized complex for (almost) all things created by assembly plants and their derivatives - vehicles, research, and maintenance specifically. Not included is Uranium Rod production, which is part of my Nuclear Power Station; Medical Supplies, which is part of my Food & Drug Center; and Luxury Goods & space station component production (including Electronics IV), which I haven't decided yet how to best incorporate.

Stages of the Manufacturing Hub:

Installation Pics: https://imgur.com/a/manufacturing-hub-8I9q0gI

  • Stage 1: Construction Parts I-III, Vehicle Parts I & II, Mechanical Parts, Electronics, Research Lab II and Maintenance
  • Stage 2: Large Storage Upgrade
  • Stage 3: Household Goods
  • Stage 4: Electronics II
  • Stage 5: Construction Parts IV & Maintenance II
  • Stage 6: Household Appliances
  • Stage 7: Research Lab III
  • Stage 8: Mega Vehicles
  • Stage 9: Electronics III
  • Stage 10: Servers & Maintenance III
  • Stage 11: Research Lab IV
  • Stage 12: Consumer Electronics

Tips

  1. Start with constructing the transport and storage first, then construct the buildings as able/needed.
  2. Add Maintenance Depots as needed - a maximum of 6 Maintenance Depots and 4 Maintenance II Depots.
  3. To gain Lab Equipment needed for constructing/upgrading the Research Labs, remove them from the transports (trashcan icon).
  4. Perform upgrades as soon as possible.

Very Nice Job :) ..
The Grandmaster of Blueprint's.
Thank you!
Great job, well done ! Its working fine
Love this, Could you add a 'final' version in your BP's with the finished product? Also, do your belt layouts match the other books you've made? For example, Does the Manufacturing hub line up with the Foundry. Thank you for making these.
Calen (edited)
Hi, Jadnar. I'm happy you love my blueprints! I will put "including a final/complete version" on my list of to-dos. That list is getting shorter though, so it shouldn't be too long to wait. It's funny you should ask that about the belts lining up - I've been contemplating this a lot lately. Right now they don't, but I think they should. Specifically, I would like to have a common layout/organization between the Oil Refinery, The Manufacturing Hub, and the Unified Foundry.
Great Blueprint...just one question. Why do you have a large box with vehicle parts 2 above the vehicles depot? Any particular reason?
@Beton1975 - I typically trade Vehicle Parts II for crude oil.
quick question...by any chance do the transports for this blueprint match up to the outgoing transports for the foundry?
Calen (edited)
@mommaray - They don't currently. I plan on working on that in the next week or so. They do now! I would update both the Unified Foundry and Manufacturing Hub blueprints.
Grinder (edited)
Outstanding work here Calen! I am converting my island to incorporate all of your blueprints.Yours are the hands down best due to the thoughtful integration across all manufacturing logic chains. Sincere thanks for your efforts, they are appreciated. I too would be interested in your full island layout. I lack the big picture goal you seem to have mastered as I am still working through my first run. Grandmaster of blueprints indeed! P.S. Copy/paste link above is v.3.0.1 not v.3.0.2.
Are there instructions on how to connect the individual blueprints?
@Grinder - That's awesome! How did it work out?
Calen (edited)
@Emrys - There are Imgur URLs for each stage in the description above showing how to install it.
could you make a pic how the transports should match with the layer 1 manu hub? Also it seems that belts from the unified refinery dont match up with the manufacturing hub?
The copy/paste is still showing for me as v3.1.0 instead of the new v3.1.1
@Respen - Fixed. Thanks.
I had been using JDPlays blueprints. Calen's blueprints are more efficient, more compact and optimised for COI Update 2. Quite simply, they are the best blueprints available.
@kam99 - Thank you! This made my day. :)

Great blueprints. Question: What happened to the transport 'around back' for settlement needs (household goods, etc.) and diesel? I seemed to have lost it when i updated blueprint.
The one thing I find at fault is construction capacity is low for my tastes. I'd like it more if that was doubled, that is easy but would require more electronics production. At times if feels like an eternity to build something waiting lmao. Otherwise amazing. I love how it is in stages by your tech level. BRAVO Best all in one stuff ever
обновите до новой версии! (чертеж не работает, нельзя построить)
in your latest iteration some of the stages have broken conveyors. Manufacturing equipment 4 and household appliances for instance.
this bp looks awesome, but I have a question. Will this bp match up with the early foundry bp you made? Also does the bp have the transport setup you see in the 2nd pic of your bp?
@Torach - Those work fine for me. @MaddTrker - The Hub does come with a transport blueprint that works well. The Early Foundry also has an egress blueprint that should connect. Nevertheless, I have paused any further optimizations between facilities until after Update 3 comes out. I imagine I will need to create trains stations for each facility, rather than large transport blueprints, but I won't know for certain until we get Update 3.
Very nice BP! a small change to the adding of research 1-2-3 would be adding a storage temporarily so you can upgrade the research center, for 4 tho, since theres lack of space you would have to make cars remove them from belt manually. But i guess you could do the same for 1-3
halcyforn (edited)
very nice hub small sugestion the bellts between construction aparts and warehouses this what going to next stage should be paused( for special needs) and added small connector on last crossroad to first in next type of parts, thanks to this you have always lower tier parts and half of them go to hi tier.
i found one small problem with this blueprint at llater stage can you add this shadow to see how much space i need to build it now i need delete this factory or move foundry i saw in most of your bp you have this.
Calen (edited)
@halcyforn - Thanks, I took both of your suggestions and incorporated them into the latest release (3.2.0).
@Calen, Hi, the install images aren't working. Can you fix that link, please?
@sneeper69 - That's weird; it works for me. Try this link: https://imgur.com/a/manufacturing-hub-staged-installation-C6V1Rp4
Do I need some mods or something to import it? Copy/paste end with error: "..." (0 chars) https://imgur.com/a/UlBLos9 any idea?
iirc there was a version of this blueprint that included vehicle ramps in the transport folder. Was there a reason why those were removed?
@Lotec - I assume you're hitting the Copy button on this page first? I just tested importing the blueprint and it worked fine for me.
@Skellitor301 - I just checked and they're there. They're the first two blueprints in the Transport folder. There used to be just one, but I had added a second one and then renamed them slightly. Maybe you were looking for the old name?
how do you connect the transport of the oil refinery front to the oil refinery transport? the number of belts dont seem to match up. or are the different blueprints not compatible?
Calen (edited)
@Dawn - They don't really connect. I kept trying to make it work, but I discovered I would need to have a different transport layout for at least 4 different orientations. I was going to build those out, but then the release date for Update 3 was announced and I gave up because using trains will be a much more elegant solution. My plan for Update 3 is to fix all recipe and production line changes to my blueprints and then build train depot blueprints for each factory complex. I'm hoping to get these out as soon as I can, but until I work with and understand the actual train mechanics and all the variables involved I can't give a good timeframe. I hope to be able to participate in the beta so I can expedite these changes/enhancements. So for now, I recommend connecting them as best you can, with sometimes having a bit of a spaghetti intersection.
I look forward for when you finish the train inputs, I'm curious how that would be handled pre-train tech and eager to see how they're implemented :D
I noticed in the stage 4 it appears you have steel going to the tier 2 lab equipment makers instead of glass not sure if I somehow misplaced it or if it was a miss but it was easy enough to fix
@BackToTheBasics I have that exact problem. I just connect right belt to this and fix it..
@BackToTheBasics & novavcielka, This was to do with update 3, they changed the recipe and Calen is in the process of updating his BP's to match the new recipe changes.
I created an account just to comment. Really appreciate the BPs you have created Calen. On Hub, only issue up to t4 construction was the glass recipe. super easy fix as you just have to peel off glass and shuffle paper inputs. Nothing major. Thanks again for your efforts on these BP.s
Hi, thanks for this great blueprint. I have also fixed the belt issue with steel. Not a big deal to do, but I had to dive into the belt system to find out :). I have noticed that the consumer electronic needs aluminium now instead of steel. So a change will have to be made in the hub in order to incorporate aluminium in the loop.
Investigation tier II (the yellow) is not connected correctly with the glass transport
Messy (edited)
There is a problem when we go to the mega storage sizes, something gets messed up with steel plates and iron plates. Edit: Glass doesnt connect to the tier II research
Hello Calen, I really like what you do. I use MH regularly. There is just a small problem at stage 4, the connection to the glass is not good, the line connects to the steel. Stage 6, a small piece of line is missing from the connection to the glass. I optimized stage 12, we have a gain of around 20%, I shared it here: https://hub.coigame.com/Blueprint/Detail/682 Tell me what you think.
Re Calen, i do an other thing for your MH, look at here : https://hub.coigame.com/Blueprint/Detail/684
Last comment, I made your MH with my own improvements and repairs to some of your blueprints, it works perfectly. You tell me what you think. In any case, it's excellent work. You can see the final result here: https://hub.coigame.com/Blueprint/Detail/685
This is broken. Glass and steel is borked.
@Davemanster A Major update has switched the "research 2" recipe from steel to glass and it's production chain got rebalanced. give him time to update his BP or use one of the fan updates.
@willvette, sure I understand that. But it is still borked, nonetheless. I will remove my comment when it is fixed.
I've been waiting for this. You are the best, thank you!!!
Thank you so much for the new drawing! However, was it necessary to do it symmetrically vertically relative to the previous version? Now it looks extremely unusual compared to the previous version. It would be great to get it back the way it was in the next version.
Fantastic work again Calen, many, many thanks.
Great work, thx very much.
Amazing work, still trying to connect all the differnt transport lines and having a terrible time but i just noted that i dont see anywhere plastic is made did i miss something? im starting to run low on Maintnece 2 and need plastic
Refinery makes plastics. Its the stage 10 in his proper Oil Refinery, so if you're still using his Early Refinery you need to upgrade the refinery.
Question, between this bp and the unified foundry it seems like the transports are a bit backwards. the UF has 2 iron outs going to the 1 iron input for the MH, and the MH has 2 steel inputs but one iron. and it doesnt look like a simple fix. or my brain isnt working
Thank you for the hard work as always Calen. Is it possible to include a retaining wall guide similar to the refinery and foundry? TIA!
