Description

This complex feeds four Assemblers in such a way that they can build all Construction Parts (I-IV) as needed, without jamming.

This isn't super practical, as the throughput for Parts IV is the same as having a single dedicated assembler for each tier. It's mostly a novelty, and a first step toward my dream of a true omni-assembler array that can flexibly produce anything in the game, at scale.

It may have some utility for a very-low-population game, since it makes optimal use of all four assemblers. For example, compare having one assembler dedicated to each tier: after using a bunch of Construction Parts II, the assemblers for tiers III and IV would sit idle. With this assembler array, all four assemblers can work on Parts II, then go back to producing higher tiers when needed, without manual intervention.

Care should be taken to ensure all belts and balancers are constructed before materials begin to flow through the system. The input storages begin paused for this reason.

Note: this blueprint uses Iron for Construction Parts I. Using Steel is entirely possible, but requires significant changes (all Steel would need to go on its own dedicated, non-gated input belt).

Hey there! This was also my dream, and I worked (obsessed) on something like this throughout my play trough. My first ever in game F11 menu screenshot is of my first prototype in 2025-07-25. I just released what, I think, is a workable version on here. Great to see someone else working on the same endeavour. Haven't seen anything like it when I was browsing here last year. Tried "follow through" Normally Closed gates as well in the beginning but couldn't find a good way to scale it. Maybe your idea to attach logic to the assemblies themselves could be fruitful. I'm more of a believer that RNG is, in the end, on my side. But this definitely is more consistent, nicely done!
