👩‍⚕️ Kayser’s Medical Supplies 👨‍⚕️

💉 Make Your Health Great Again 💊

Current as of: v0.7.9 (b495)

📝 Description

Kayser’s Medical Supplies is a compact, expandable, and upgradable blueprint designed to keep your entire settlement healthy from mid-game discovery to late-game mastery.

Starting at the discovery of Hospital with 24×MS1, the facility grows and evolves step by step — through MS1×96, MS2×96, MS2×192, MS3×192, and finally MS3×384 — all in place, with no demolition or production pauses required.

Each stage builds gracefully upon the previous one, ensuring maximum efficiency and minimal downtime. As always with Kayser’s designs, the layout is resource-efficient, worker-friendly, and future-proof. Corner markers on early blueprints indicate the full footprint of the final plant, so you can plan your expansion without surprises.

The result? A seamless, scalable medical production complex that grows with your settlement — from your first hospital to full-scale, late-game medical autonomy.

👉 Because when your people are healthy, everything else just works better.

⚙️ Feature Summary
  • Fully Scalable: Expands smoothly from 24×MS1 to 384×MS3, all within the same footprint.
  • No Downtime: Each upgrade is performed in place — no rebuilding or production stops.
  • Graceful Design: Follows Kayser’s hallmark principles of compactness, cheapness, and efficiency.
  • Smart Planning: Early-stage blueprints feature corner markers showing the final build area.
  • Add-On Ecosystem: Comes bundled with optimized companion plants for Ethanol, Corn Mash, Sugar, Oxygen, Acid, and Hydrogen Fluoride.
  • Resource Efficient: Uses compact logistics and streamlined routing to minimize space use, construction cost, maintenance, and electricity use.
  • Terminated Sushi: Ingredients are mixed in exact proportions and passed by multiple assemblers, the last assembler balancing consumption.

⚡ Quick Start Guide
  1. Begin with MS1×24.
This starter layout covers early medical demand and establishes the base footprint for all future upgrades. Use the Ethanol and Corn Mash add-ons to make Ethanol, unless you already have another source.

  2. Expand Gradually.
Upgrade in sequence through MS1×96, MS2×96, and MS2×192. Each blueprint fits directly on top of the last — no relocation, no waste. When you discover Sugar Cane, use the Sugar add-on and start making ethanol from the more efficient sugar. Then, when discovering Medical Supplies II, upgrade the plant to an MS2 template to start producing MS2. Use the Oxygen add-on to make oxygen, unless you have another source.

  3. Upgrade to MS3.
Transition to MS3×192 and later MS3×384 for full late-game capacity. Each step expands the plant’s efficiency while keeping your supply steady. The Acid and Hydrogen Flouride add-ons are available to help with the ingredients for MS3.

👍 Built to last from initiation to endgame — because good health should never need rebuilding.

📐 Blueprints

Each MS blueprint can be used standalone, or as an upgrade on top of any previous stage.

It's possible to pause some buildings to fine tune capacity. See bowever the notes below the table.

Stage Folder Blueprint Name Description Technology Required Instructions Other Notes
1 MS1×24 Starter plant (MS1). Smart Conveyor Routing, Conveyor Lifts, Hospital -
2 MS1×96 MS1 capacity upgrade. Conveyor Belts II -
3 MS2×96 Upgrade to MS2. Medical Supplies II -
4 MS2×192 MS2 capacity upgrade. Robotic Assembly -
5 MS3×192 Upgrade to MS3. Medical Supplies III, Conveyor Belts III -
6 MS3×384 MS3 capacity upgrade. Robotic Assembly II - Can also be used as an upgrade of MS2×192 to "MS2×384"--just skip the MS3 buildings.
7 Add-Ons 80-120×Ethanol Compact Ethanol from Corn Mash and/or Sugar Fermentation (Sugar Cane) Set preferred ingredient (Corn Mash vs. Sugar) using recipe priority in Fermentation Tanks Intended for mixed ingredients. Max capacity requires 100% (160/60) Sugar. Simple to modify for CO₂ capture.
8 Add-Ons 72×Corn Mash Compact Corn Mash mill Fermentation - -
9 Add-Ons 288×Oxygen Compact Oxygen plant Steel Smelting, Pipes II, (Pipes III, Conveyor Belts III) - Pipes III required for >100/60, Pipe IV required for >225/60
10 Add-Ons 96×Sugar Compact Sugar plant Sugar Cane - -
11 Add-Ons 108×Acid Compact Acid plant Sulfur processing (Mixer II, Pipes II) - Pipes II and Mixer II required for maximum capacity. Can be upgraded further, to 144/60.
12 Add-Ons 96×Hydrogen Flouride Compact Hydrogen Flouride plant Medical Supplies III - -

❗️Because MS1 and MS2 share output belt, it may clog if MS1 production is higher than MS2 for some time (for example, if antibiotics run low). To unclog, force-empty the MS1 storage with Unity.

‼️ The last assembler in each chain is set to allow truck imports. This is necessary to prevent deadlocks. If you are using fewer than all assemblers, you must manually set the last active assembler in each assembler chain to allow truck imports.

There are many bugs in the system. For example, there's a setup error in the Ethanol system. Ethanol is not being released from the factories; I fixed it myself. The real problem I can't seem to fix is at the end of the main system. I suspect the materials needed for medical supply 1 aren't reaching their destination due to the narrow design of the conveyor belts. Even though I've set the input to equal, the plastic still isn't reaching its destination. I'd appreciate it if you could fix the issue and update it.

Ping me on Discord and I’ll have a look. Check that last assembler has truck import on (to increase input buffer).
medical equipment keep getting stuck on missing steel, the storage is full of all mats needed using MS3×384
Kayser (edited)
I’ll look into it. Do you have last assembler in the medical equipment chain set to accept truck imports?
Tntdruid (edited)
The unit storage are all full, set to allow trucks, assembler are not set to import.
You should set just the last assembler in the chain to accept truck imports.
Trucks cant go there tho.
No, but the setting makes the input buffer larger, which is required to balance the belt. Trucks won’t try to go there if it’s properly supplied.
