💻 Kayser’s Computer Works
Description
💻 Kayser’s Computer Works
🖥 Because IT Works with Kayser
Current as of: v0.7.8a
📖 Summary
Did you ever get stuck in a big upgrade project because you were short on Electronics I or II? Or did you find yourself short on servers when trying to ramp up computing power quickly? These problems are a thing of the past!
Kayser’s Computer Works is a compact, efficient, and versatile electronics and computer production plant designed to keep your colony’s electronics, servers, and laptops flowing without a hitch.
All assemblers are capable of building electronics I–III, servers, and laptops on demand, and are fed via the high-speed Liftbus™ system. Ingredients are fed dynamically, so the plant automatically focuses on the products you need most; low tiers before high tiers. Once low tier stocks meet minimum levels, they will be released as ingredients for the next tier. Electronics I-III, servers, and laptops roll out alongside each other, to keep your colony fully satisfied — no fuss, no micromanagement.
The benefit: All assemblers stay productive, idle time is minimal, and shortages are a thing of the past. Sudden spikes or dips in demand are gracefully managed for you, and alerts can guide your expansion before general shortages occur.
Its rectangular, compact footprint makes placement and expansion a breeze, and the scalable design allows the plant to increase capacity seamlessly as your needs grow.
IT is Easy with Kayser. ✅
⚡ Quick Start Guide
Use the level of plant apropriate for your current technology level. Larger plants require higher tier belts and assemblers to function effectively.
Connect inbound transports. Inbound storages are not strictly required but strongly recommended, accompanied with an alert for low level.
Build the lift loop and one or more assemblers; they are all independent of each other and can also be upgraded independently. All assemblers should have all the applicable recipes it can handle. For best overall performance, randomize priorities or set the top priority items to match your most common production chain.
Ensure the lifts that supply the assemblers form a closed loop. Unused parts must go back to the beginning of the loop, with priority.
Set the minimum/maximum stock levels that you want, using the blue/yellow sliders on the outbound storages. If you want bigger reserve stocks, make sure the parts are transported to other storages to stay under the yellow level. Items that back up will be automatically blocked from production.
Set your preferred priority for Electronics III in the 'E3 prio...' balancer: Priority to stock, servers, laptops, or balanced (default).
It is recommended to keep your yellow slider one step below maximum, to allow trucks to drop off loot and parts from deconstructions.
⚙️ General Features
- Compact, rectangular shape for easy placement.
- Highly efficient in terms of workers, and fulfilling your need for general purpose electronics.
- High-Capacity LiftBus™ supply system.
- Incrementally buildable for minimal resource investment.
- Readily accessible input/output storages for buffering, alerts, and easy mapping and connection of incoming belts.
Note: NOT intended for dedicated ultra high-capacity Electronics production, such as required for a large scale construction parts or laboratory equipment set-ups. These require dedicated Electronics and Electronics II plants.
📐 Blueprints
Stage | Blueprint Name | Technology Required | Preparation | Instructions | Other Notes |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
1 | Liftbus™-E1x120/AS2 | Conveyor Lifts, Smart Conveyor Routing | Clear and flatten land(36x52) | Place BP. Attach transports. | Activate up to 10 Assembler II. Limited to 120/60 E1 production by internal feeder belts until Conveyor Belts II. |
2 | Liftbus™-E2x72/AS3 | Constuction III, Conveyor Belts II | - | Place BP on top. Attach new transports. | - |
3 | Liftbus™-ServersX13/AS4 | Microchip Production, (Data Center, Conveyor Belts III) | - | Place BP on top. Attach new transports. | Electronics III production can start without Data Center, but Data Center is required for Servers. Conveyor Belts III is not required but recommended to handle peaks in Electronics I and II demand (such as major building upgrades). |
4 | Liftbus™-CEx84/AS5 | Robotic Assembly II, (Consumer Electronics) | - | Place BP on top. Attach new transports. | Assembling Machine V upgrade can be performed to double capacity without Consumer Electronics. For actual Consumer Electronics production, the Consumer Electronics technology is obviously required. |
