Launch a rocket carrying the materials needed to set up the space station.

If maintenance drops below this marker, the station will downgrade or, if at a low tier, disintegrate entirely.

The station requires ongoing maintenance and reboosting to stay in orbit. If maintenance levels drop below the marker, the station will downgrade to sustain itself. However, if the station is at its initial first tier and maintenance reaches zero, it will be lost entirely, burning up in the atmosphere.

Consumes input materials to generate space research points. These points accumulate in the station and can be used by research labs on Earth for advanced research.

Shut down

Evacuate all crew via return pods and block new arrivals. This reduces costs for crew rotations and supplies but does not stop maintenance consumption.
